The library was founded in 1921, when it was located on the second floor of the Pawling Firehouse. Today, Pawling Free Library occupies two buildings: its main building was renovated in 2002; most recently, the Library acquired the “Yellow House” next door, and currently uses this building for children’s programs and meetings.
How to Get a Library Card
It’s easy! Just come in with your photo ID and fill out a registration card, your card will be issued on the spot!
Kids under 18 must have a parent with them.

Monday: 12 pm – 5 pm
Tuesday: 10 am – 8 pm
Wednesday: 10 am – 8 pm
Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm
Friday: 12 pm – 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 4 pm
Sunday: 12 pm – 4 pm
