Supervisor

The Town Supervisor is the Chief Fiscal Officer of the Town and shares financial oversight responsibilities with the Town Board. The Town Board adopts a budget each year which includes funding for a vast array of Town services. The Town Board is responsible for auditing all fiscal operations of the Town.

The Town Supervisor is responsible for carrying out decisions of the Board, administer the budget, and disburse funds. The Town Supervisor represents the Town at various functions. The Supervisor is a member of the Town Board, presides at all Town Board meetings, and votes on all matters before the Board. The Supervisor, like other members of the Town Board, does not have the power to veto legislation.

The Town Supervisor serves in a full-time capacity.  The Supervisor conducts Department Head meetings to ensure the efficient delivery of services to residents and facilitates communication between the Town’s various Departments and Boards.

The Supervisor prepares the agenda for meetings that include requests of the Town Board members, other Boards, Department Heads, Community Organizations, and individual community members.  All are encouraged to contact the Town Supervisor and /or Town Board liaisons with requests or inquiries about the Town government services.
