What's Happening in Pawling

Pawling, Where the Country Truly Begins

Nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, Pawling is a community of abundance. Country vistas, unique homes, and a quaint Village welcome all. Town residents and visitors can enjoy the oldest municipality-owned golf course in America, four lakes, and over 440 acres of parkland. Open space prevails with The Great Swamp, Appalachian Trail, Nuclear Lake, Empire Rail Trail, and Nature Conservancy, offering outdoor enthusiasts of all calibers opportunities aplenty. Being just 1.5 hours away from NYC, Pawling is where “upstate” begins for all and ends for many. We are a community steeped in benevolence, with dozens of volunteer organizations providing everything from tours of Washington’s headquarters to a staffed Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. Where history lives on as the future unfolds, many who are raised in Pawling remain in Pawling. Come visit us, relax with us, chat with us, and you will understand why.
